In recognition of the long service relationship of its employees, TTS Group of Companies presented Long Service Awards to 24 employees who achieved 5 years and 10 years consecutive service with the Group in 2011. The Long Service Award recipients were from its companies in Penang, Johor Bahru, Singapore and Thailand. Recipients and employees at its plants in Penang and Johor Bahru, were also treated to a buffet lunch during the Award presentations. Congratulations to all the Long Service Award recipients for your dedication, loyalty and contributions in assisting the TTS Group of Companies to carve a leadership position in the ATE test and tooling industry in Asia.a.
Mr. Gary Meyer, currently the QA Manager for TTS PCB Division in the US, has been appointed the Factory Manager to oversee the new secondary processing plant and relocated to Malaysia. Reporting to the CEO, Gary will undertake the leadership of driving innovation and developing cutting edge technology for secondary processing to further enhance TTS products and services. Gary completed his post graduate in Instrumental and Analytical Chemistry and came with vast middle-back office managerial experiences in multinational corporate. TTSG would like to congratulate Gary on his new appointment.
TTS Thailand has cancelled the Anniversary celebration owing to the concern of devastating flood occurring in major regions within the country. For a good course, the employees in the Thailand’s operation have initiated a donation campaign together with local residents to provide daily supplies, water and medicines to flood stricken victims and to express our sympathy and demonstrate our support for the community. The donation will soon be delivered to local government office and the Chiang Mai Red Cross Association for distribution.
TTSG is proud to exhibit our cutting edge technologies and better solutions to meet your ATE test and tooling needs at Semicon Japan 2011. We are featuring new concept IC test socket designed for high frequency device test. We are also sharing information on probe pins with low CRES, longer life span and different plating to address various operating issues at mass production.
Introduction of new TTSG name badge As part of an overall effort to acknowledge and recognize the commitment, technical capability and contribution of the employees, TTSG unveiled a new name badge design featuring a 3 colors coding system with numeric to indicate the employee’s year of services, number of IP patented and record of special award. It also featured the new company logo under the latest branding exercise.
Thailand was hard hit by the recent rain storms with most part of the country flooding under water. The employees at GMC, our subsidiary in Thailand, have donated and volunteered to distribute food to the victims of this natural disaster. Their effort and kindness are highly commendable.
Launch of New Corporate Branding In line with the progressive launch of new TTS corporate branding, the OHQ in Penang Malaysia has been given a new look and feel. The refurbishment project was completed in late September to the expectation of the employees. At the same time, the new corporate logo will start to replace the old one in all our new communication and marketing channels and materials.
TTS PG Family Day
As part of our mission to shorten the lead time to market, Test tooling Solutions Group has taken the delivery of 10 more new Citizen machines as part of the overall expansion plan for 2011. These latest model auto lathe machines from Japan, with customized modification and tooling, have a list price of USD1.5 millions. The new machines had been successfully installed and commissioned in our plant in Malaysia and had significantly increase our capacity and capability to meet the customers’ requirement.
Mechanical designers CN Cheah and LL Tay had walked away with the cash prizes as the winner and 1st runner up in “Know-How Campaign” held on 6-10 June. The aim of this campaign is to improve designer’s skill and confidence and encourage a continue learning culture. The level of activity was overwhelming and all participants benefited from this campaign.
It is the season for the King of Fruit. The Durian Party was ushered back under a popular demand. All employees at TTSG Thailand indulged themselves with a feast of a variety durians and others local seasonal fruits. The atmosphere was filled with the durian’s aroma and lingering laughter from satisfying employees enjoying themselves. Many thanks to the organizing committee for a job well done.
We are pleased to announce the successfully integration of Kenstronics Malaysia with Test Tooling Solutions Group effective 1st June 2011. This strategic alliance marks a key milestone in our business operations model. We have managed to reduce redundancy, streamline the process flow, improve the efficiency and expedite the decision making process in the entire supply chain. Ultimately, it will help to reduce the total cost of ownership and time to market for our customers.
